Welcome to the East Cascades Recreation Partnership (ECRP)

Project Overview

Land managers in Kittitas and Yakima County want to know more about where you recreate and the natural resources you value. This survey will inform recreation and restoration project planning between land management agencies, collaboratives, and partner groups.

The survey will ask you to identify places that are important to you, and will take about 5-10 minutes to complete depending on the number of places you map. You must be 18 years or older to participate. Your decision to participate is strictly voluntary. You are free to answer all, some, or none of the questions. Your responses are completely confidential and anonymous and you may stop the survey at any point.

If you have questions about this survey, please contact: Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust or Jennifer Lipton, PhD at CWU-Ellensburg, (509) 963-1164, jennifer.lipton@cwu.edu. If you have questions about your rights as a participant, you may also contact the CWU Human Protections Administrator at (509) 963-3115.

The Upper Yakima Basin runs from the Stuart Range to the North, the Yakama Indian Reservation to the South, the Cascade Crest to the West, and the western extents of the cities of Ellensburg and Yakima to the East. If you recreate in or value this area, please tell us about the places that are important to you using the Upper Yakima Basin Survey.

The Naches Ranger District on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest is particularly interested in hearing from those who recreate in the Little Naches Watershed. If you are familiar with this area, please tell us specifically where you recreate in this area using the Little Naches Watershed Survey.

Click either “Start Upper Yakima Basin Survey” or “Start Little Naches Watershed Survey” to continue if you wish to participate. You will have the option to complete either or both surveys.
