Abstract:
The intent of this assessment is to identify, evaluate and rank potential MAR site opportunities so that the highest-ranking projects can be prioritized for further study and proceed toward implementation. There are immediate needs to develop additional storage in the basin. The results of this project can be used to identify groundwater storage projects to help fill those needs. Criteria considered are property access, suitable hydrogeology, ditch flows, flood flows, water quality, out-of-stream benefits, instream benefits, infrastructure, operational risk, estimated cost, permitting, and conceptual facility type.
